This Privacy Policy explains how Style AA (“we”, “us”, “Style AA”) collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you use the Style AA mobile app or visit styleaa.com. We’ve tried to write it in plain English. If anything is unclear, email hello@styleaa.com and we’ll explain.
Style AA is operated from the United Kingdom. By using Style AA, you agree to this Privacy Policy and to our Terms of Service.

Style AA is a mobile styling app that helps you build a digital wardrobe, discover curated looks, generate try-on avatars, plan outfits, and share with a community who care about how they dress. The data controller is Style AA Ltd. For privacy questions, write to hello@styleaa.com.
What We Collect
Account information: We collect your email, display name, and profile photo when you sign up, along with any username, bio, or Instagram handle you set.
Content you create: This includes wardrobe items, outfits, saved collections, calendar events, AI-generated avatars, community looks, comments, likes, follows, reports, and blocks.
Photos you upload: Images for wardrobe, outfits, community looks, or try-ons. We store these in secure Supabase storage, process them for AI features, and analyze them for shoppable product matches.
Device & usage data: Includes device type, operating system, app version, language, country, crash reports, and analytics (screens viewed, buttons tapped, looks saved) via PostHog.
Push token: Required for notifications.
Payment: Processed only by Apple for Style AA Pro subscription—no card data is seen or stored by us.
How We Use Your Information
We use your data to deliver and personalise the app, generate AI try-ons, send notifications and transactional emails, improve the product, keep the community safe, and comply with law. We never sell your personal information or train external AI on your content.
Affiliate Community:
Some links in Style AA — including the shoppable items tagged on community looks — are affiliate links. When you tap "Shop," you're directed to a third‑party retailer through our affiliate partner, Take Ads (operated by Mitgo GmbH). Take Ads and the retailer may set cookies and process limited data about your click and any resulting purchase so the sale can be attributed and a commission paid. We receive aggregated commission and conversion reports; we do not receive your payment card details or the contents of your retailer cart. See Take Ads' privacy policy at takeads.com and the retailer's own policy for how they handle your data.
Creator Earnings & Payments
If you participate in our creator earnings program, we collect and store the payout details you provide (such as your PayPal email address) and records of your commissions, balances, and payouts. We use this solely to calculate and send your payments and to meet our legal and tax obligations. We may share necessary information with our payment provider to process a payout.
Discover Spotlight
If you submit an avatar to be featured on the Discover screen, we store that image and, once approved, display it publicly within the app alongside your creator name/username. You can request removal at any time by contacting us or deleting your account.
Third Parties — add to your processors list:
• Take Ads / Mitgo — affiliate link tracking & commission attribution.
• PayPal — creator payouts.
Affiliate tracking — tapping "Shop" routes through an affiliate link (Take Ads / Mitgo); they and the retailer may set cookies and collect click/purchase data to attribute the sale. Name Take Ads (Mitgo) as a third-party processor and link their privacy policy.
Payment data — for creators, you collect a PayPal email + payout/earnings records.
Discover avatar — the Tier-3 image upload, and that it's shown publicly once featured.
A line that you earn commission on purchases.
Content You Publish in the Community
Community content (looks, comments, follows, likes, collections, engagements, reports, blocks):
- Photos you publish, captions, bio, username, Instagram handle, and display name are public in the community feed.
- Social graph and engagement events are used for personalisation and safety.
- Private: Saved collections, calendar events, wardrobe items, direct messages, and your email or push token—unless shared by you.
- Data retention: Looks and profile are kept as long as your account is active. Deleting a look removes it within 72 hours; deleting your account fully purges all data in 30 days (except anonymised moderation records for 24 months).
AI Features
We use AI for background removal (Replicate’s bria/remove-background), try-on avatar generation (Evolink/Doubao Seedream with text-based prompts), item recognition and shoppable matches (Lykdat), image safety check (Google Gemini Vision), and personal style profiling (Gemini 2.5 Flash). No images or content are used to train third-party models. You can opt out of AI features in your Profile Settings.
How We Share Your Information
We share your data only as required to provide services: Supabase (hosting/database/storage), Resend (email delivery), Apple (push notification and subscription), PostHog (analytics), Replicate, Lykdat, Evolink, and Google (AI features). Community content you post is public. We may disclose data for legal or safety reasons or in case of business transfer. We do not sell your data.
Where Your Data Is Stored
Your data is stored and processed in the European Union (Supabase, Ireland: eu-west-2). When shared with providers outside the EU (like Replicate or Lykdat in the US), such transfers are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses or similar safeguards.
Cookies and Analytics
The Style AA mobile app does not use web cookies, but uses device identifiers for analytics and crash reporting. On styleaa.com, only essential cookies are used for sessions—no third-party ad cookies or trackers.
Your Rights
You have rights to access, rectify, delete, restrict, or object to processing, request portability, withdraw consent, or lodge complaints (in EU/UK: with a data protection authority). To exercise rights, email hello@styleaa.com. We respond within 30 days. You can also delete looks, your account, block/report users, or turn off features from the app.
Children
Style AA is rated 17+ and not intended for users under 17. We do not knowingly collect data from those under the age of digital consent in your country. If we become aware, data and accounts are deleted. Contact hello@styleaa.com if you believe a child has submitted data.
Security
Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, protected by strict access controls and least privilege inside our infrastructure. We notify users of any breaches promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically. The Effective Date reflects the latest change. We’ll notify users in-app of material updates. Using Style AA after changes means you accept the new policy.
